Philip Kennedy FIMIT, MPTA, LTCL offers a professional service in fine tuning, servicing and general repair or renovation of good quality pianos.
In addition to his regular tuning commitments, he carries out repairs, hammer voicing and servicing work on a wide range of pianos, advising clients on any work required.
He is also able to provide informative and helpful independent advice on purchasing a piano.
Concert piano hire can be arranged using Steinway and Yamaha pianos as well as Fazioli instruments, which are personally selected.
Phil is able to supply a full range of piano accessories including piano stools, piano covers, hygrometers (to keep a check on the relative humidity in your room) and many types of castors and trolley frames specifically designed for pianos. Please see the accessories page for further information.
Some of the leading UK piano companies regularly ask Phil to carry out work for them on a freelance basis. He aims to keep up-dated with current practices and techniques used in the piano industry by attending national seminars for piano technicians. He has attended seminars given by senior UK and European technicians at Pianoforte Tuners' Association (PTA) Conventions and participated in seminars at Steinway Hall, London. Phil was privileged to visit the Steinway & Sons factory in New York during January 2011.
Philip Kennedy has been vetted by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB checked) and approved to work with vulnerable adults and children.
